The Reading Fall Street Faire on September 9 from noon to 5 is Reading’s biggest event of the year and relies on the help of many volunteers to put it all together.
“There are many volunteer opportunities available and any amount of time you can provide will be gladly accepted,” said Volunteer Coordinator Kristin Bonazoli. “Whether it’s setting up and marking booths in the morning prior to the start of the Faire, painting faces in the Children’s Area, directing traffic or putting on a costume, there’s something for everyone.”
With estimates of 15,000 attending the Faire, over 170 vendors participating and plenty of entertainment scheduled, volunteers are essential for information, direction and set-up.
“This is a great way to re-connect after the summer recess and it’s also an opportunity for those new in town who would like to meet other community-minded people and learn about Reading,” said Bonazoli.
