We had a very moving speaker at Monday's Zoom meeting, Patrick Kizehe, from an organization called Giving Refugees Hope in Uganda. Patrick is from Congo but was forced to walk days with his family for refuge in Uganda. Many from Congo are refugees in Congo. Patrick was able to emigrate to Canada. He spoke to us from Edmonton. His organization is a recognized Canadian non-profit (www.grhu.org) through which you can donate to refugees in Uganda. He sought out Reading Rotary after searching us online and feeling we were like minded people devoted to service.
