Something for everyone at the Fall Street Faire

Plenty of entertainment and activities are planned for this year’s Street Faire as the result of a concerted effort of veteran volunteers and members of the Rotary Club who have taken the responsibility of the Faire from the Town.

“We have a fantastic day planned for all for activities straight out of a good old-fashioned Old Home Day right here in Reading,” said Event Chair Sheila Clarke. “In between eating, playing games and socializing, your kids will be dragging you to many fun areas.”

Activities include a Sweets Shop, Pie Eating Contest, Dunk Tank, Face Painting, Bingo, Ice Cream Social, Basketball Tournament, Photo Booth, Children’s Train and Children’s Activities, Tailgate Party, Antique Car Show and Amusements

Bobbie Botticelli, co-owner of Colonial Manor Realty in Reading, and will sponsor a new area called Sweets Shop with the sponsorship of not only Colonial Manor, but also Camelot Special Events & Tents, Paramount Residential Mortgage Group (PRMG), CDM Financial, Chris Coleman, Home Health Aid, Dom Tango Plumbing, Joe Fish, LaPierre School of Dance, Attorney David Traniello, J & B Crosby, John and Diana Halsey. Bobbie is very excited about this new concept at the Street Faire.

“Remember the penny candy of your youth? Squirrels, Bullseyes, gum drops, wax bottles, Bit o’ Honey, Raisinets, malted milk balls, Boston Baked Beans, salt water taffy and so much more?” asked Bobbie with a twinkle in her eye. “For today’s generation, there are all their favorites – Sour Patch Kids, gummy everything, flavor straws, button candy, Tootsie Rolls, fireballs, balls, gum balls and sooooo much more.”
