Max McMillan and Angela Cincis (Home Base Vet Outreach Coordinator) spoke to us on today regarding Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation program for Veteran support.  Max, a 1980 RMHS grad, is running the Run to Home Base to raise funds for Home Base.  He has created a team, Team GJH, in honor of Reading childhood friend General Jack Hammond, Director of Home Base.  Max's Team goal is to raise $1 million over 20 years for Home Base.  Run To Home Base will be run on July 23.  It is a 9K race which starts and finishes at Fenway Park.  Team GJH is having its First Annual team GJH Fundraiser at Blue Ocean Music Hall in Salisbury, Massachusetts on June 11.

Home Base provides clinical care to returning Veterans and their families.  It is partnered with MGH.

Reading Rotary is donating $1,000.00 to Team GJH.
